Plenary meeting of parliament on November 14 ran a third and fourth readings of the State Budget draft for 2015 and adopted it.
Tomorrow will expire the date within which the presented by the cabinet on October 1 draft would be considered and adopted by parliament. The cabinet had suggested the budget income to be MNT 7.1 trillion and the budget expenditure–MNT 7.6 trillion. Parliament has reflected in the State Budget the income as estimated but reduced the expenditure by over 100 billion Togrog, thus subscribing the budget deficit as 439.2 billion or 1.8 percent of the country’s GDP. Assumption of the Mongolian Togrog, which is 1,878 against US dollar today, is 1,750 Togrog.
The State Great Khural has allowed expenditure portfolios, including MNT 2.9 trillion for Minister of Finance, 1.9 trillion for Minister of Education, 27 billion for the Speaker, 86.5 billion for Prime Minister, 56 billion for Minister of Foreign Affairs and Economic Cooperation, 98.3 billion for Minister of Mining and Energy, 425 billion for Minister of Justice, and 324 billion for Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development.
